Norwalk, CT., September 17, 2019 – Health Media Network (HMN), a leading and trusted Digital Point of Care company, announces a partnership with The Skin Cancer Foundation, the leading nonprofit organization focused on public and professional skin cancer education.

The Skin Cancer Foundation’s newest campaign, The Big See, a multiyear public service campaign, will appear on Health Media Network’s Point of Care TV screens nationwide. The Big See campaign seeks to empower people to take a proactive approach to skin cancer detection. One in five Americans develop skin cancer by the age of 70, and more than two people die every hour from the disease. When caught and treated early, skin cancers are usually curable. The Skin Cancer Foundation will also distribute expertly curated skin cancer content and statistics on HMN Digital Point of Care screens to further educate patients on the warning signs of skin cancer.

“We are proud to partner with The Skin Cancer Foundation and help patients make smart decisions about their skin health,” says Christopher J. Culver, CEO of Health Media Network. “Knowledge is the best defense when it comes to detection, and leveraging the Point of Care environment when people are actively engaged in their healthcare and focused on making wellness decisions is a critical step in educating the public.”

“We are always looking for new ways to reach the public with our lifesaving messages and the Point of Care environment is a great avenue to explore,” says Dan Latore, executive director of The Skin Cancer Foundation. “If we inspire just one person to change their approach to sun protection, or make an appointment with a dermatologist, we can all be proud. We appreciate Health Media Network’s support of our mission and are grateful that they are joining our fight against skin cancer.”
